Conclusion on classification

Triethoxyisobutylis expected to hydrolyse (half-life: approximately 22 h at pH 7 and 20-25°C (QSAR))in the presence of water. Triethoxyisobutyl is also readily biodegradable

The available toxicity data indicates that short-term toxicity is in the range 10-100 mg/l (freshwater fish 95-h LC5085 mg/l).However, the hydrolysis product is not expected to be toxic.

Thereforethe substance is not classified for the environment in the EU according to the current Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008.
