Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

With high probability acutely not harmful to daphnids, no toxic effects occur in the range of water solubility.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The EC50 value of the test substance in Daphnia magna was determined to be > 1175 µg/L (CIBA-GEIGY 1997). Since physical effects of the test substance on the test organisms were observable in the test concentrations of 4.4 µg/L up to the undiluted filtrate, the results are not suitable for the chemical assessment. In the same study, the water solubility of the test item was determined to be about 1 µg/L, which clearly shows that there were no acute effects in the range of water solubility.

Therefore, the tested substance is with high probability acutely not harmful to daphnids.
