Description of key information
The particle size distribution (granulometry) of piperazine, compound with phosphoric acid by the sieve analysis method was found to be in the range of 75 micrometer to 300 micrometer. Majority of the particles were found to be in the size 150 (65.02%) - 250 (14.82%) micrometer.
Additional information
The particle size distribution (granulometry) of piperazine, compound with phosphoric acid gave the majority particle size as ranging between 150 to 250 micrometer. Thus, it can be concluded that there is no scope of exposure to inhalable size of particles of this chemical.
The inhalable coarse particles," have diameters larger than 2.5 micrometers and smaller than 10 micrometers and "fine particles," have diameters that are 2.5 micrometers and smaller.
