Additional information

Significant accumulation of the test substance in organisms is not to be expected.

Bioaccumulation: aquatic/sediment

For 2 -methylbutan-1 -ol was determined a log Kow= 1.29 (25°C) according to Valvani SC et al., 1981 (HSDB, 2008).In accordance with Column 2 of REACH Annex IX, the study need not be conducted if the substance has a low potential for bioaccumulation (for instance a log Kow < 3) and/or a low potential to cross biological membranes. The substance has a log Kow < 3 and a low potential for bioaccumulation. Testing of bioconcentration in an aquatic species is therefore not required.

Bioaccumulation: terrestrial

Data on terrestrial bioaccumulation in soil are not required for REACh registration.
