First-aid measures
General advice: Take off immediately all contaminated clothing.
Inhalation:
Move to fresh air. Oxygen or artificial respiration if needed. Keep under medical surveillance. In case of problems : Hospitalise.
Skin contact: Wash off immediately with plenty of water. If significant contact: Keep under medical surveillance. Hospitalise.
Eye contact: Wash open eyes immediately, abundantly and thoroughly for at least 15 minutes. Consult an ophthalmologist immediately.
Ingestion: Hospitalise. If the subject is unconscious, do not induce vomiting
Protection of first-aiders: For any intervention, wear appropriate breathing apparatus. Protective sui
Fire-fighting measures
Extinguishing media
Suitable extinguishing media: Foam, Dry powder, Carbon dioxide (CO2), Water spray
Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture:
Highly flammable
Thermal decomposition giving flammable and toxic products :, Sulphur oxides, Carbon oxides
Advice for firefighters:Specific methods:
Containers/tanks should be cooled with water spray. Prohibit all sources of sparks and ignition - Do not smoke.
Special protective actions for fire-fighters:
In the event of fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus. Acid resistant clothing.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures:
Prohibit contact with skin and eyes and inhalation of vapours. Use personal protective equipment. Prohibit all sources of sparks and ignition -
Do not smoke.
Environmental precautions:
D o not release into the environment. Do not let product enter drains. Dam up with sand or inert earth (do not use combustible materials).
Methods and materials for containment and cleaning up:
Recovery:
Pump into a labelled inert emergency tank. Absorb the remainder with an inert absorbent material. Rinse with water. Recover waste water for
processing later.
Elimination:
Destroy the product by incineration (in accordance with local and national regulations).
Handling and storage
Precautions for safe handling:
Technical measures/Precautions:
Storage and handling precautions applicable to products: Liquid. Highly flammable Toxic. Irritant. Sensitizing. Provide appropriate exhaust
ventilation at machinery. Provide water supplies, ocular fountains and showers near the point of use. Provide self-contained breathing
apparatus nearby.
Safe handling advice:
Keep well away from naked flames. Prohibit all sources of sparks and ignition - Do not smoke. Only use safety equipment.
Hygiene measures:
Prohibit contact with skin and eyes and inhalation of vapours. When using do not eat, drink or smoke.
Wash hands after handling. Remove contaminated clothing and protective equipment before entering eating areas.
Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities:
Keep container tightly closed in a dry and well-ventilated place. Store away from moisture and heat to maintain the technical properties of the
product. Keep away from heat and flame. Provide a catch-tank in a bunded area. Provide electrical earthing of equipment and electrical
equipment usable in explosive atmospheres.
Storage temperature: < 10 °C
If possible : Storage temperature: < 5 °C
Packaging material:
Recommended: Polyethylene, Polypropylene, Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE)
To be avoided: Metals
