Description of key information

The surface tension of the test substance was found to be 30.8 mN/m (average of two runs) at a test concentration of 1 wt%, and 29.3 mN/m (average of two runs) at a test concentration of 5 wt%. The surface tension value derived from this study i.e. <45 mN/m indicates that the test substance is to be considered a surfactant.

A study was conducted on the registered substance to determine the surface tension of the substance. The surface tension of the test substance was determined in accordance with the Wilhelmy Plate Method. The surface tension of the test substance was found to be 30.8 mN/m (average of two runs) at a test concentration of 1 wt%, and 29.3 mN/m (average of two runs) at a test concentration of 5 wt%. The surface tension value derived from this study i.e. <45 mN/m indicates that the test substance is to be considered a surfactant.
