Description of key information

Two ready biodegradation tests have been performed with Amines, N-tallow alkyltrimethylenedi-, propoxylated according to OECD guidelines 301D and 310 (extended to 60 days). The maximum biodegradation was reached with the OECD 301D corresponding to 21% of the ThOD after 28days.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Biodegradation in water:
under test conditions no biodegradation observed

Additional information

The ready biodegradability was assessed according to the OECD guideline 301 D “Ready biodegradability - Closed Bottle Test”. Under the test conditions, the percentage of biodegradation of Amines, N-tallow alkyltrimethylenedi-, propoxylated reached 21 % of the ThOD at the end of the test (28 days).

Another ready biodegradation test was performed according to OECD guideline 310 "CO2 in sealed vessels (headspace test)" during an extended period (up to day 60). Under the test conditions, a maximum mean biodegradation of 5.3% of Amines, N-tallow alkyltrimethylenedi-, propoxylated of the theoretical inorganic carbon was observed at day 35.
