The test substance, 4,4'-Isopropylidenediphenol, oligomeric reaction products with 1-chloro-2,3-epoxypropane, reaction products with fatty acids, C18-unsatd., dimers had a maximum biodegradation of 2% after 28 days of activated sludge contact in an O.E.C.D. 301F study. Therefore, the test substance is not readily biodegradable under the conditions of the studies. However, with a measured Log Pow of 2.65, 3.72 and >6.5 the test substance has a low probability to bioaccumulate in aquatic species. Based on the results from an O.E.C.D. test guideline 121 study with a Log Koc of 2.32, the test substance has a low to moderate potential to adsorb to sediment and soil.
