Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
If in contact with skin, wash immediately with large amounts with water. Wash hands and all contaminated areas with water. Remove clothes and shoes. Gently wash with plenty of soap and water.
If in contact with eyes, rinse immediately with large amounts of water. Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. Get medical attention if irritation occurs or persists.
IF INHALED: Remove victim to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing.
IF SWALLOWED: Rinse mouth. Call a POISON CENTER or doctor/ physician if you feel unwell.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable fire extinguishing media: Use regular dry chemical extinguisher.
The product is not flammable. Toxic gases may be formed. Fight fire with normal precautions from a reasonable distance.
In case of fire: Use … for extinction. In case of fire: Evacuate area.
Accidental release measures
Do not breathe dust/fume/gas/mist/vapours/spray. Do not get in eyes, on skin, or on clothing.
Use only outdoors or in a well-ventilated area.
Wear protective gloves and eye protection.
Handling and storage
Avoid inhalation, absorption, and contact with the product. Handle carefully. Keep container tightly closed.
Avoid contact during pregnancy/ while nursing. Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this product. Use only outdoors or in a well-ventilated area. Use personal protective equipment as required. Do not get in eyes, on skin, or on clothing.
Store in a dry place. Store in a well-ventilated place. Store in a closed container. Store away from other materials.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Limit Value - (8h, TWA) as F= 2,5 mg/m³.
Use gloves, eye protection and wear suitable protective clothing. Do not use contact lenses.
Avoid inhalation of dust. Use outdoors or in a well-ventilated area.
Do not eat, drink or smoke when using the substance.
Stability and reactivity
Stable under normal conditions, but hydrolysable in aqueous solution. Do not use at temperatures higher than 620ºC due to decomposition.
Avoid temperatures higher than 390ºC. Avoid contact with water, acids, oxidising agents, cyanides. active metals,s uch as Al or Mg. Not soluble in organic solvents. Dissociation reaction provides hexafluorosilicate as product, which hydrolyses providing fluoride and release of HF being possible. At temperatures higher than 390ºC, SiF4 and NaF are formed.
Disposal considerations
Waste are not classified as hazardous. Waste is either disposed into designated landfills or recycled externally.
Containers should be carefully cleaned before disposal.
