Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
After inhalation: Remove the casualty into fresh air and keep him calm.
After contact with skin: In case of contact with skin wash off immediately with soap and water
After contact with eyes: Rinse immediately with gently running water for 15 minutes, maintaining eyelids open. Consult an ophthalmologist or a physician.
After ingestion: Rinse out mouth and give plenty of water to drink. Get medical treatment.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media: water spray jet, alcohol-resistant foam, carbon dioxide, dry powder.
Special hazards from the substance itself, its combustion products or from its vapours: In case of fires, hazardous combustion gases are formed: Carbon monoxide (CO), Carbon dioxide (CO2).
Special protective equipment for firefighting: Use self-contained breathing apparatus. Wear full protective suit.
Further information: Wear self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) and full protective clothing.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions: Use personal protective clothing. Ensure adequate ventilation. Avoid dust formation. Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
Environmental precautions: If the product gets into drains, inform the relevant authorities immediately. Do not discharge into the drains/surface waters/groundwater.
Methods for cleaning up/taking up: Place in suitable containers and send for recovery or disposal. Take up mechanically.
Handling and storage
Advice on safe handling: Avoid the formation and deposition of dust. Provide good ventilation of working area (local exhaust ventilation if necessary).
Advice on protection against fire and explosion: Dust can form an explosive mixture with air. Take precautions against accumulation of electrostatic charge. Keep away from sources of ignition. Avoid influence of heat.
Dust explosion class: ST1 Capable of dust explosion.
Advice on storage compatibility: Not required.
Further information on storage conditions: Keep container tightly closed and dry in a cool, well-ventilated place.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Occupational exposure controls:
General protective measures: Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Do not inhale dust.
Hygiene measures: Work in an adequately ventilated room.Change contaminated clothes immediately.
Respiratory protection : Short term: filter apparatus, Filter P2
Hand protection: PVC gloves. With solid dry substances permeation is not to be expected, therefore the breakthrough-time for this protective glove has not been measured.
Eye protection: safety glasses
Body protection: protective clothing
Stability and reactivity
Thermal decomposition: 270-280°C. No decomposition if used as prescribed.
Hazardous reactions: No hazardous reactions known.
Disposal considerations
Product: In accordance with regulations for hazardous waste, must be taken to a hazardous waste disposal site.
Uncleaned packaging: Regulations concerning reuse or disposal of used packaging materials must be observed.
