A hydrolysis study is not available for the test substance but oleamide is highly insoluble in water and readily biodegradable, therefore hydrolysis is not expected to be an important process in the fate of the substance. Based on a QSAR estimation using SRC AOP v1.92, oleamide is susceptible to indirect photodegradation in air. The estimated half time for the reaction with OH-radicals is 4.3 - 4.8 hours (24 -hour day; 0.5E6 OH/cm3). If exposed to air, oleamide will be rapidly degraded by indirect photodegradation.
