Description of key information

The EL50 is determined as >100 mg/L.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Studies are available for two members of this category.

Two GLP-compliant, guideline studies are available for Resin acids and rosin acids, maleated, esters with pentaerythritol (Laus GmbH, 2013d, Water Quality Institute, 1993c). The studies used Water Accommodated Fractions as the test item is poorly soluble. In both studies the EL50 was determined to be greater than the highest concentration tested, 100 mg/L and 1000 mg/L respectively.

A study is also available for resin acids and rosin acids, fumarated, esters with glycerol (Laus GmbH, 2013c). The study followed standard test guideline OECD 201 and used WAF techniques. The EL50 was determined to be greater than 100 mg/L, the highest concentration tested.
