Additional information

Pentacalcium hydroxide tris(orthophosphate) is an inorganic solid white powder. The substance has a melting point > 450°C and therefore a study for boiling point does not need to be conducted.

The water solubility of the test material has been determined to be 6.57 x 10-3 g/l of solution at 20.0 ± 0.5°C in un-buffered glass double-distilled water, resulting in sample solution pH’s in the range 7.2 to 7.4.

Overall, it can be concluded that Pentacalcium hydroxide tris(orthophosphate) is not considered to possess any of the following hazardous physical-chemical properties: autoflammability and/or self-ignition, flammability, explosiveness and oxidising properties.

Thus, the substance does not meet the classification criteria for physical-chemical hazard in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP) and the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS).
