Additional information

Carcinogenicity testing is only required for wide dispersive use substances classified as a category 3 mutagen or substances that demonstrate hyperplasia or pre-neoplastic lesions in repeated dose studies. The weight-of-evidence clearly indicates that LAB Sulfonic Acid is not a mutagenic substance (based on LAB Sulfonic Acid and LAS read across data) nor does it demonstrate hyperplasia or preneoplastic lesions in repeated dose studies (based on LAS read across data), and thus does not meet requirements for carcinogenicity testing.
