Description of key information

In accordance with section 1 of REACH Annex XI, the study does not appear to be scientifically necessary as the substance has a low potential for adsorption (log Kow = -1.07) and therefore no significant concentrations are expected in the sediment compartment. The equilibrium partitioning method will be applied.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

A GLP compliant guideline study is available for the sediment compartment. The 10-d LC50 is 6983 mg/kg to the marine amphipod Corophium volutator (Halliburton Energy Services, 2004). As only long-term testing can be used in the hazard assessment according to the REACH Guidance R.7, this value will not be used.
