Additional information

Two reliable studies provide melting point measurements of hexamethylene diamine, as pure and anhydrous, using Differential Scanning Calorimetry. The method can be related to OECD 102/EC A1 guidelines. Both were not conducted under GLP, but nevertheless with obvious scientific considerations for quality. The test method is appropriate. Unfortunately, the atmospheric pressure was not recorded.

These results are supported by numerous literature data which, due to poor reliability could not be assigned in most cases, but all results were within the range 36-43 °C.
