Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The test substance is with high probability not acutely harmful to aquatic invertebrates. No toxic effects occur within the range of solubility.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

A GLP guideline study has been conducted according OECD 202 and using Daphnia magna as test organism in a limit test (BASF SE 2015). Due to the very low solubility of the test item a saturated solution has been tested. Although the concentration of the dissolved test substance itself could not be measured (water solubility is below the analytical LoQ), all reasonable efforts were taken to produce a saturated solution of the test substance in test media, following the guidance in OECD 23. However, the test substance may release soluble copper into the test water as an impurity. Therefore, the copper content was measured in the test solutions. But, only traces of copper were found in the test solutions. After 48 h of exposure no effects occurred within the range of solubility. Hence, the EL50 after 48 h was determined to be > 100 mg/L (loading rate).
