Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Classification & Labelling & PBT assessment

PBT assessment

Administrative data

PBT assessment: overall result

PBT status:
the substance is not PBT / vPvB
Justification:

Persistence assessment

Low biodegradability - as shown in the Hydrolysis as a function of pH experiment and the Closed bottle test (read-across) - means that the substance fulfils the persistence (P) and very persistent (vP) criterion.

Bioaccumulation assessment

The partition coefficient (Log Pow: -0.96) is much lower than the limit of 4.5 as set out in the guideline. The substance does therefore not fulfil the criterion for bioaccumulation (B or vB).

Toxicity assessment

The short-term aquatic toxicity (algae, daphnia, fish) is low with EC50 values > 100 mg/L.

The substance does not meet the criteria for classification as carcinogenic (category 1A or 1B), germ cell mutagenic (category 1A or 1B), or toxic for reproduction (category 1A, 1B or 2) according to the CLP Regulation

There is no other evidence of chronic toxicity, as identified by the substance meeting the criteria for classification: STOT RE 1, or STOT RE 2 according to the CLP Regulation.

The substance does therefore not fulfil the toxicity criterion (T)

Conclusion:

The available data indicate that the substance is neither fulfilling the criteria for persistent and bioaccumulative and toxic (PBT-substances), nor the criteria for very persistent and very bioaccumulative substances (vPvB-substances) according to REACH directive, Annex XIII and as laid down in the TGD R.11 of the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA).
