Description of key information

The flash point of AAA reaction product was evaluated to be larger than 120°C using the EU A.9 testing guideline (Pensky-Martens closed flash point tester). In the preliminary test, AAA reaction product was heated from 18°C to 120°C. The test was stopped when the flame of the ignition source was blown out by contact with the test item vapour. This effect might be caused by evolving water vapour, since AAA reaction product contains between 5 and 15 % water. The atmospheric pressure on the day of the measurement was 97.8 kPa. No main test was performed due to the result found in the preliminary test.
