In the preliminary test a clear flash point was observed at a test item temperature of about 130 °C. Therefore, the main test was also performed with a Pensky-Martens flash point apparatus.

The main test was performed in duplicate. A clear flash point was observed at a test item temperature of 138 °C and 140 °C, respectively. The lowest value was therefore 138 °C at the actual atmospheric pressure of 99.4 kPa.

Conclusions:
After correction for the atmospheric pressure, the flash point of MTDID 8191 was determined to be 138.5 °C using the Pensky-Martens flash point apparatus.
