Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data

particle size distribution (granulometry)
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the substance is marketed or used in a non solid or granular form
Justification for type of information:
In accordance with column 2 of REACh Annex VII, the study does not need to be conducted if the substance is marketed or used in a non-solid or granular form. As presented under Section 4.1, the substance is considered as a liquid, therefore the endpoint is not relevant.
Reason / purpose for cross-reference:
data waiving: supporting information
Pale yellow to yellow, clear, slightly viscous liquid.
Physical state at 20°C and 1013 hPa:

Experimental studies were conducted for the determination of physicochemical properties of the substance, including fully reliable description of the test sample. The Envigo study was considered as key, as providing a complete description; the Firmenich study is included as supporting for additional information.

Physical state is not consistent with the freezing point of 27°C (see 4.2) . However, as seeding was required to initiate crystallisation, the substance is anticipated to be stable in supercooling conditions.
