Exposure controls / personal protection
- Wear suitable gloves.
Eye protection
- Chemical resistant goggles must be worn.
Skin and body protection
- long sleeved clothing
Hygiene measures
- Use only in an area equipped with a safety shower.
- Eye wash bottle with pure water
- When using do not eat, drink or smoke.
- Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice.
Environmental exposure controls
- Dispose of rinse water in accordance with local and national regulations.
Additional remarks related with worker exposure:
The substance is a solution of inorganic salts in water which are naturally ocurring. The inorganic salts have a low toxicity and under normal handling and use conditions these inorganic salts are not systemically available. For this reason the human health hazards of the substance are well known. Furthermore inhalation exposure is unlikely (low vapour pressure). Therefore the risks for workers should be considered low if standard personal protective equipment (skin and eye protection) is used.
Additional remarks related with environmental exposure:
The substance is a solution of inorganic salts in water which are naturally ocurring. The inorganic salts have a low ecotoxicity (see section 6.1.3 and 6.1.5). For this reason the environmental hazards of the substance are well known. Therefore the risks for the environment should be considered low if standard environmental exposure controls are used.
Stability and reactivity
- Stable under recommended storage conditions.
Conditions to avoid
- none
Materials to avoid
- Strong acids
- Bases
- Metals
Disposal considerations
- In accordance with local and national regulations.
Packaging treatment
- Clean container with water.
- The empty and clean containers are to be reused in conformity with regulations.
