Additional information

A predicted vapour pressure value of 0.46 Pa at 25°C has been obtained for the substance using a validated QSAR estimation method. The result is considered to be reliable and is selected as key study. In a secondary source to which reliability could not be assigned, a limit vapour pressure value of <1.33 hPa at 20°C was reported for the substance.

In contact with water, the submission substance hydrolyses rapidly to form 2-(3,4-epoxycyclohexyl)ethylsilanetriol and methanol. The vapour pressure of the silanol hydrolysis product was estimated to be 7.5E-06 Pa at 25°C using a validated QSAR estimation method.

Methanol has a reported vapour pressure of 12790 Pa at 20°C (OECD 2004. SIDS Initial Assessment Report for SIAM 19, Berlin, Germany, 18-20 October 2004, Methanol, CAS 67-56-1)
