The average value of an initial boiling point of di(tert-butoxy)diacetoxysilane was determined to be 210.2 ± 0.3 ºC.

The measuring accuracy depends on the BUCHI Melting Point 545 apparatus accuracy (measuring accuracy up to 100.0 ˚C ± 0.3 ˚C; up to 250.0 ˚C ± 0.5 ˚C and up to 400 ˚C ± 0.8 ˚C).

Conclusions:
The boiling point of di(tert-butoxy)diacetoxysilane was determined to be 210.2 ± 0.3 ºC at 102.1 kPa.
Executive summary:

Determination of the boiling point was carried out using the capillary tube in metal block according EU Method A.2 (method according to Siwoloboff) which is in conformity with OECD Guideline 103. The boiling point of di(tert-butoxy)diacetoxysilane was determined to be 210.2 ± 0.3 ºC at 102.1 kPa.

Description of key information

Key study: EU Method A.2. GLP study. The boiling point of di(tert-butoxy)diacetoxysilane was determined to be 210.2 ± 0.3 ºC at 102.1 kPa.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Boiling point at 101 325 Pa:
