Description of key information

The melting point of reaction mass of dicerium trisulphide and dilanthanum trisulphide was determined to be higher than 400°C in a GLP-compliant study performed according to recognized guidelines (EU Method A.1, OECD 102).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The data obtained on reaction mass of dicerium trisulphide and dilanthanum trisulphide (no melting point up to 400°C) is consistent with the data coming from handbooks for the constituents of the reaction mass (dicerium trisulphide: 2060°C, dilanthanum trisulphide: 2100 - 2110°C).
