Description of key information

In accordance with Annex IX column 2 of the REACH Regulation, a study for bioaccumulation does not need to be conducted if the substance has a low potential for bioaccumulation. The experimentally derived Log Pow value for a structural analogue has been identified as > 9.4 (EC 265-205-1) and as > 10 for the substance itself (EC 266-854-3). ECHA Guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment Chapter R.11: PBT Assessment (Molecular weight and log Kow) state that the compound is unlikely to bioaccumulate due to the relatively high molecular weight and a Log Kow of > 8. A study is therefore considered scientifically unjustified with regard to the low bioaccumulative potential of the substance.
