Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Endpoint:
hydrolysis
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the substance is readily biodegradable
the study does not need to be conducted because the substance is highly insoluble in water

Description of key information

As the limit of solubility could not be analysed, and the degradation products could not be characterised, no degradation half-life could be determined

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

According to adaptation column 2 of annex VII, this study is not necessary because the substance is readily biodegradable. However, in order to obtain accurate estimations of experimental ecotoxicological data, a hydrolysis study was considered pertinent. Considerable technical effort was put into production of a viable study but as the limit of solubility could not be analysed, and the degradation products could not be characterized, no degradation half-life could be determined.
