The purpose of this study is to document the oxidizing properties of several substances to be used in the REACH registration process. The screening procedure is defined in the “Guidance on information requirements and chemial safety assessment”, “Chapter R.7a: Endpoint specific guidance” for ECHA as :
For organic substances (with the exception of peroxides) testing does not need to be carried out for substances if:
· The substance does not contain oxygen, fluorine or chlorine; or
· The substance contains oxygen, fluorine or chlorine and these elenemts are chemically bonded only to carbon
· Inorganic substances that do not contain oxygen or halogens do not need to be tested.
