The test item was found to immobilise Daphnia magna at concentrations higher than 18 mg/L after 48 hours. Based on the nominal test item concentrations, the 48-hour EC50 for Daphnia magna amounts to 42 mg/L (95 %-CI: 36 - 51 mg/L).
Executive summary:

The toxic effect of the test item to Daphnia magna was examined according to OECD 202 (1984) under static conditions over a period of 48 hours. For the determination of the test concentrations, a range-finding test was performed. In the definitive test, each test concentration and the control was tested in duplicate with ten daphnids each. Effect concentrations were calculated based on nominal test concentration since analytical recoveries were in the range of 80 to 120 % throughout the test. After 48 hours of exposure the test item was found to immobilise Daphnia magna at concentrations above 18 mg/L (NOEC).
