Relative Density

Two tests with different amounts of the test item were performed to determine the relative density D420at a temperature of 20 °C ± 0.01 °C. Table 1 compiles the results.

* The pressurizing-expansion cycles are performed until 5 subsequent volume measurements have a relative standard deviation (RSD) of ≤ 0.2 %.

The mean density of the test item at 20 °C is 1.8544 g/cm³. The relative density D420 is calculated by dividing the density of the test item by the density of water at 4 °C (0.9999750 g/cm³).

The relative density is          D420=1.854.

Conclusions:
According to OECD Test Guidelines 109 (2012), Regulation EC No. 440/2008 Method A.3. and EPA OCSPP Test Guideline 830.7300 (2002), the relative density D,4,20 of the test item CI Solubilised Sulphur Black 1 at 20 °C ± 0.01 °C (compared to water at 4 °C) is 1.854.
