Additional information

The substance is a clear colourless to amber viscous liquid with a mild fruity, clean and pineapple odour at 20 °C and 1 atm. The freezing point lays in temperatures lower than -20 °C, whereas the boiling point was determined as 285.8 °C. The density is 1.13 g/ml at 22.8 °C and the vapour pressure is 60 Pa, at 20 °C. The surface tension was determined to be 37.05 mN/m at 22 °C. The substance is very soluble in water (>1000 g/l) and its logPow is 0.37 showing a greater affinity to the aquatic phase than the organic one. Moreover, it has an autoignition temperature of 376 °C at 1 atm, a flash point higher than 93.3 °C and it is not expected to be explosive or oxidising. The dynamic viscosity of the test item is 37.4 Cp at 25 °C.
