Additional information

The potential of the substance to cause acute toxic effects to aquatic invertebrates was assessed in a static test conducted according to EPA OPPTS 850.1010. Daphnia were exposed for a period of 48 h to nominal concentrations of 31.25, 62.5, 125, 250, 500 and 1000 mg/l of the test substance. Routine water quality characteristics of the test solutions were measured and the number of mobile organisms in each replicate was determined each day.

During the definitive test, no statistically significant reductions in mobility at 24 h were observed. However, there was a statistically significant reduction in mobility at 48 h down through the 496 mg/l dose.

EC50 (48h) = 386 mg/l (mean measured); NOEC (48h) = 24 mg/l (mean measured)
