Administrative data
First-aid measures
In case of skin contact : Take off contaminated clothing and shoes immediately. Wash off immediately with plenty of water. Call a physician immediately. Wash contaminated clothing before reuse.
In case of eye contact : Rinse immediately with plenty of water, also under the eyelids, for at least 15 minutes. Remove contact lenses. Consult a physician.
If swallowed : If swallowed, rinse mouth with water (only if the person is conscious). Take victim immediately to hospital.
Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed: Causes eye burns. Sensitising effects. Toxic if swallowed. Central nervous system effects. Effects on foetal development
Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed : Treat symptomatically
Fire-fighting measures
Unsuitable extinguishing media : Water spray jet
Specific hazards during firefighting : Risk of dust explosion.
Hazardous combustion products : Carbon oxides, Nitrogen oxides (NOx)
Special protective equipment for firefighters : In the event of fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus.
Specific extinguishing methods : In the event of fire, cool tanks with water spray.
Further information : Avoid dust formation
Accidental release measures
Environmental precautions : Should not be released into the environment. Do not flush into surface water or sanitary sewer system.
Methods for cleaning up :
Large spills: Sweep up or vacuum with HEPA filter or via wet cleaning into suitable containers for disposal. Pick up and arrange without creating dust. Keep in properly labelled containers.
Small spills: Moisten a towel, cover the spill, pick up the spill or use HEPA vacuum.
Large spills + Small spills: Keep in suitable, closed containers for disposal. Treat recovered material as described in the section "Disposal considerations".
Handling and storage
Advice on safe handling : Ensure all equipment is electrically grounded before beginning transfer operations. To avoid thermal decomposition, do not overheat. Keep away from heat and sources of ignition. Avoid formation of dust and aerosols. Use personal protective equipment as required. Avoid inhalation, ingestion and contact with skin and eyes.
Advice on protection against fire and explosion : Avoid dust formation.
Hygiene measures : Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice. Wash hands before breaks and at the end of workday. When using do not eat, drink or smoke.
Dust explosion class : St3
Requirements for storage areas and containers : To maintain product quality, do not store in heat or direct sunlight. Store in original container. Keep containers tightly closed in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place. Store at room temperature.
Recommended storage temperature : 15 - 25 °C
