Results:

 Experiment  n-Octanol (g)  Weighed sample (g)  Result
 A  1.64  0.1701  Clear liquid
 B  1.64  0.2708  Clear liquid
 C  1.64  0.7546  Clear liquid
 D  1.64  1.4721  Clear liquid
 E  1.64  2.6712  Clear liquid, viscous
 F  1.64  2.2890  Clear liquid, viscous
 G  1.64  2.3204  Clear gel

With 2.32 g of test item being mixed into 1.64 g of n-octanol, a clear gel with a total weight of 3.96 g has been formed. This is equivalent to 58.6% w/w of test item in solution/gel.

As the density of the n-octanol will significantly increase with addition of the test item, it can be concluded that n-octanol solubility is about 586 g/L, resulting in a gel.

Due to the fact that the formation of the gel is a continuous process and no discrete point can be identified at which dissolution in n-octanol switches to gelling, the n-octanol solubility can be approximated to >586 g/L at 20 °C.

Conclusions:
Due to the formation of a gel, the investigation was stopped after the prelimary test, and the n-octanol solubility was approximated to >586 g/L.
Executive summary:

The solubility of the test item, Imwitor 375, in n-octanol was determined using the OECD test guideline 105, with use of n-octanol instead of water.

Due to the formation of a gel, the investigation was stopped after the prelimary test, and the n-octanol solubility was approximated to >586 g/L.
