Description of key information

Short-term toxicity to fish

A limit test with test concentration 100 mg/L was performed. Zebrafish were exposed to the substance for 96 h. At the end of the test no mortality or sub-lethal effects were observed. The LC50 was determined to be >100 mg/L and the NOEC was determined to be 100 mg/L.

Short-term toxicity to invertebrates

No toxic effects on Daphnia magna were observed in a 48-h limit test with test concentration of 100 mg/L. The EC50 was determined to be >100 mg/L.

Toxicity to aquatic algae

In an 72-h algal growth inhibition test with Raphidocelis subcapitata, the obtained results showed that the test item had significant toxic effects on the growth of Raphidocelis subcapitata. The 72-hour NOEC based on growth rate and yield was determined to be 2.56 mg/L and the LOEC as 6.4 mg/L. The EC10 and EC50 based on growth rate were determined ot be 26.79 mg/L and >100 mg/L, respectively.

Toxicity to microorganisms

Under the conditions of the performed Activated Sludge Respiration Inhibition Test, the EC10 and EC50 values of test item were determined as higher than 1000 mg/L. Based on the statistical evaluation in this test the NOEC was ≥ 1000 mg/L.
