Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Reference
Endpoint:
partition coefficient
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
December 2016
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 117 (Partition Coefficient (n-octanol / water), HPLC Method)
Version / remarks:
Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 of 30 May 2008
GLP compliance:
yes (incl. QA statement)
Type of method:
HPLC method
Partition coefficient type:
octanol-water
Analytical method:
high-performance liquid chromatography
Key result
Type:
log Pow
Partition coefficient:
1.666
Temp.:
25 °C
pH:
2
Details on results:
The chromatogram of the test item gave two peaks. With the calibration function log k versus log POW, the corresponding log Pow-values of the major peaks were determined with:
logPow (peak 1) 0.425 +/- 0.001 and
logPow (peak 2) 1.666 +/- 0.000
It is assumed that peak 1 is due to a product of hydrolysi reaction.

Description of key information

Determination of the log Pow of N-Phenyl-N'-[(phenylamino)sulfonyl]urea using the HPLC method according to OECD 117 resp. EU A.8

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Log Kow (Log Pow):
1.666
at the temperature of:
25 °C
