Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
Inhalation:
Move affected person to fresh air at once. Get medical attention if any discomfort continues.
Ingestion:
Rinse mouth thoroughly with water. Do not induce vomiting unless under the direction of medical personnel. If vomiting occurs, the head should be kept low so that vomit does not enter the lungs.
Skin contact:
Wash skin thoroughly with soap and water.
Eye contact:
Remove any contact lenses and open eyelids wide apart. Continue to rinse for at least 15 minutes. Get medical attention.
Fire-fighting measures
Extinguish with foam, carbon dioxide, dry powder, sand, etc. Cool containers exposed to flames with water. Fire water run-off should be trated as hazardous waste and avoid entry into drains and water courses.
Accidental release measures
Sweep up and collect into suitable containers. Use appropriate containment to avoid environmental contamination. Avoid the spillage or runoff entering drains, sewers or watercourses. Wear appropriate PPE to avoid skin contact, eye contact and inhalation of dust.
Handling and storage
Avoid spilling. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Keep away from heat, sparks and open flame. Good personal hygiene procedures should be implemented and wash the skin thoroughly with soap and water after work.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Wear disposal gloves to avoid hand contact, eye protection and respiratory protection if there is any likelyhood of dust generation.
Stability and reactivity
Avoid strong oxidising agents.
Disposal considerations
Dispose of as hazardous waste according to local regulations. Avoid discharge to drains, sewers and water courses
