Conclusions:
Not toxic under test conditions at a limit concentration of 1000 mg/kg.
Executive summary:

The acute toxicity of 1,2,4-Benzenetricarboxylic acid, mixed decyl and octyl triesters to the earthworm eisenia foetida was determined during a 14 day exposure period according to EC Methods for Determination of Ecotoxicity, Directive 88/302/EEC.

For the limit test with a concentration of 1000 mg/kg dry soil, the test substance was mixed with silica sand and afterwards added to soil substrate. After 7 and 14 days the effects of the test substance on the earthworms' survival were examined.

No mortality occurred at the tested concentration after 7 and 14 days.

The 14 day LC50 of WITAMOL 218 to Eisenia foetida was observed to be > 1000 mg/kg dry soil.
