Additional information

A GLP study was conducted according to Regulation (EC) No 440/2008, Annex A.17.  The GLP study determind the substance not to have oxidising properties.

The theoretical maximum burning rate of the mixtures of the test item and cellulose (0.00 mm/s) was less than the maximum burning rate of the reference mixture of cellulose and barium nitrate (1.85 mm/s).

Due to the fact that the mixture of the test item with cellulose burned slower compared to the reference mixture, it was concluded that the test item has no oxidizing properties.

In addition the structure of the substance does not contain any oxygen compound which might have oxidising effects on combustible materials.

The structural formula shows without doubt that the substance does not react exothermally in contact with combustible material.

Justification for classification or non-classification

In accordance with Annex I, Section 2.4, Section 2.13 and Section 2.14 of Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 and UN GHS Rev 6 (2015) the substance has not to be classified as oxidising gas, oxidising liquid or oxidising solid in class 5 Division 5.1.
