Additional information

A 14-day static growth test with technical glufosinate-ammonium (96% purity) to the freshwater duckweed, Lemna gibba was conducted generally in accordance with ASTM Guidelines (1991) (Lintott & Ward, 1991). Nominal test concentrations of 0, 0.78, 1.3, 2.2, 3.6, 6.0 and 10.0 mg a. s. /L were tested. The test was conducted under static conditions at 25 - 29 °C. Frond numbers were counted on days 0, 3, 6, 9, 12, and 14. Measured test concentrations were 92 – 110% of the nominal values. EC50 based on frond number after 14 days were determined to be 1.5 mg/L and the NOEC was 0.8 mg/L (mean measured).
