First-aid measures

Inhalation: If exposed to dust, move to area of fresh air and seek medical advice.

Eyes: Rinse with plenty of water for 15 minutes. Remove eye lenses. Consult a doctor if signs of discomfort continue.

Skin: Wash area with water and seek medical attention if signs of discomfort.

Ingestion: Do not provoke vomiting. Rinse mouth.

Remove contaminated clothes and wash before re-use.

Seek medical advice if any signs of discomfort. Show copy of label or safety data sheet.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Foam, powder, water spray, carbon dioxide or other extinguishing agents. No unfavourable reactions with normal

extinguishing agents known. Do not use water water jet.

Product arising from burning: carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides.

Protective equipment: use self conatined breathing apparatus.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Avoid formation of dust and collect spillage. Do not use blowing techniques.

Wear dust mask, overalls, goggles and gloves according to section 8 of safety data sheet.

Collect material into suitably labelled container and dispose according to regional provisions for hazadous waste.

Handling and storage

Handling: The substance is considered to be hazardous to health and it is recommended that personal protective equipment is worn, including dust mask, eye protection, gloves and overalls according to section 8 of SDS.

Precautions must be taken to avoid formation of dust. Equipment must be earthed and sources of ignition removed to prevent dust explosion.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Appropriate engineering controls: Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice. Wash hands before breaks and at the end of workday.

Eye/face protection: Face shield and safety glasses Use equipment for eye protection tested and approved under appropriate government standards (EN 166).

Skin protection Handle with gloves. Gloves must be inspected prior to use. Use proper glove removal technique (without touching glove's outer surface) to avoid skin contact with this product. Dispose of contaminated gloves after use in accordance with applicable laws and good laboratory practices. Wash and dry hands. The selected protective gloves have to satisfy the specifications of standard EN 374 derived from it.

Body Protection Complete suit protecting against chemicals. The type of protective equipment must be selected according to the concentration and amount of the dangerous substance at the specific workplace.

Respiratory protection Where risk assessment shows air-purifying respirators are appropriate use a fullface particle respirator type P3 (EN 143) respirator cartridges as a backup to engineering controls. If the respirator is the sole means of protection, use a full-face supplied air respirator.

Control of environmental exposure Prevent further leakage or spillage if safe to do so. Do not let product enter drains. Discharge into the environment must be avoided.

Stability and reactivity

Avoid contact with strong oxidising and reducing agents.

The substance does not react with water.

There is only low risk of dust explosion.

As with other organic solids, precautions should be taken to avoid dust. Equipment must be earthed and sources of ignition removed to prevent dust explosion.

Disposal considerations

Waste material must be disposed of in accordance with the Directive on waste 2008/98/EC as well as other national and local regulations. Leave chemicals in original containers. No mixing with other waste. Handle uncleaned containers like the product itself.  Contaminated packaging Dispose of as unused product.
