Description of key information

TMT 55: no boiling point could be detected
≥ 370 °C (decomposition)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

In a thermogravimetric analysis of TMT 55 no boiling point could be detected. At 50 - 125 °C the substance loses water, but the weight is constant above 125 °C and up to 430 °C under nitrogen flow. Under air flow the weight is constant up to 370 °C.

The boiling point (101.4 °C at 1013 hPa) for TMT 15 determined by ebulliometer method is nevertheless the boiling point of the water influenced by the test substance due to the effect of elevations of boiling point.
