Description of key information

Referring to the results of the water solubility test (see IUCLID endpoint 4.8 of the technical dossier) only very low metal concentrations have been detected during and after the 7-day solubilisation phase at pH 6, resulting in the conclusion that slags, tin-smelting can be regarded as highly insoluble in water. Furthermore, slags do not contain chemical groups or constituents which could hydrolyse.
Against this background testing of hydrolysis as a function of pH does not need to be conducted under Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 (REACH).
