Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Testing is not technically feasible as substance is hydrolytically unstable. Log Kow of n-butanol released from the substance is used in CSA, instead of any estimated value.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Log Kow (Log Pow):
0.84
at the temperature of:
25 °C

Additional information

Target substance is hydrolytically unstable. When it comes in contact with water or moisture, a complete hydrolysis will take place with no significant reaction products other than n-butanol and hydrated titanium dioxide (OECD 111). Because of rapid hydrolysis (half-life < 2 hours), log Kow of n-butanol released in water is used as a key value in CSA (peer-reviewed secondary source, Lide 2008).
