Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Reaction products of lauric acid and oxybis(propanediol) is susceptile to indirect photodegradation (DT50 = 6.30 - 7.16 hrs, 24hr, 0.5E+06 OH).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Based on QSAR estimations for the main components of Reaction products of lauric acid and oxybis(propanediol) (List No. 700-672-1) using SRC AOPWIN v1.92, the test substance is susceptible to indirect photodegradation in air. The estimated half time for the reaction with OH-radicals is in the range of 6.30 - 7.16 hours (24h day; OH-concentration: 0.5E+06 OH/cm3).

However, photodegradation is not expected to be an important environmental fate process since the test substance is not expected to exist in the vapour phase in the atmosphere.
