Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Based on the weight-of-evidence for the results from the two published studies, 3 -chloropropene is a bacterial mutagen. These findings suggest that AC Light Ends will also be a bactrerial mutagen when tested under similar experimental conditions.

Short description of key information:
3-Chloropropene, a structural analog for AC Light Ends, was assessed for the potential to induce gene-mutation in O.E.C.D. 471 "Bacterial Reverse Mutation Assays" with Ames/Salmonella and E.col WP2 tester strains with the preincubation exposure method.

Endpoint Conclusion: Adverse effect observed (positive)

Justification for classification or non-classification

There are no positive in vivo findings to support Classification and Labeling for either the structural analog, 3 -chloropropene or AC Light Ends.
