Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flash point at 101 325 Pa:
130.7 °C

Additional information

According to the data from this experimental test, performed in accordance with the open cup method ISO 2592, the average flash point of dicumyl peroxide is 130.7 °C at 101.3 kPa.

It has to be noted that the substance decomposes before the flashpoint is reached. The Self-Accelerating Decomposition Temperature (SADT) of the substance is 80 °C (reference SADT: CLP regulations 2.15.2.3 and UN Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods, Manual of Tests and Criteria, 5th revised edition, sub-sections 28.1, 28.2, 28.3 and Table 28.3.).
