Additional information

For liquids the primary value for ease of ignition is the flash point conducted using Method A9 ‘Flash Point Method’ of Council Regulation (EC) No 440/2008. The result of the Flash Point test in combination with its boiling point is used to allocate a liquid substance into the appropriate flammability class. The flashpoint is determined in iuclid section 4.11 to be 112.5 °C and the boiling point in iuclid section 4.3 to be not determined due decomposition above 320 °C. Therefore, the substance is not sufficient for classification as flammable. In accordance with section 1 of REACH Annex XI any further testing does not appear scientifically necessary.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Within the CLP Regulation ‘Flammable liquid’ means a liquid having a flashpoint of not more than 60°C (see CLP Annex I, section 2.6.1). The flashpoint is determined in iuclid section 4.11 to be 112.5 °C and the boiling point in iuclid section 4.3 to be not determined due decomposition above 320 °C.

Therefore, the substance is not sufficient for classification as flammable.
