Description of key information

Daphnia magna was exposed under semi-static conditions for 21 days to one concentration (1.0 mg/L) of 3-hydroxy-2-(3-hydroxy-2-quinolyl)-1H-inden-1-one. No toxic effects against daphnia were observed at the maximum of water solubility.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Based on different biological effects observed and endpoints assessed, the following results were obtained at the end of the 21 day exposure period of the Daphnia reproduction test:

A 21d-NOEC (reproduction) and a 21d-NOEC (mortality) of >0.070 mg/L;

a 21d-LOEC (reproduction) and a 21d-LOEC (mortality) of >0.070 mg/L.

First brood was on day 6.

No toxic effects against daphnia were observed at the maximum of water solubility under exposure conditions.
