Executive summary:

The substance is produced and supplied in a mineral oil solvent which is not known to undertake any phototransformation in soil. Furthermore, the manufacturer of the substance has a long experience of producing and handling this substance and has never known the substance to phototransform in the presence of soil. There has also been long term handling experience in blending operations and in formulated products where this substance is also observed to be very stable. Added to this, the substance is generally supplied in formulated products for use in open and closed systems but with adequate controls to ensure that it is never released to the environment. Phototransformation is therefore considered to be unlikely with this substance and the study is therefore considered to be not scientifically justified.
